Get up, stand up!
Why is our desk going up and down at seemingly random times you ask? Great question!
“The key is breaking up your activity throughout the day,” Hedge told the Wall Street Journal. “Sitting all day and standing all day are both bad for you.”
We in Great place to workSPACE can't argue with that statement, healthy employees are happy employees. To help remind the employees to change their working position we have implemented which automatically alternates between the users standing and sitting position.
But, how often should this timer change positions?
The trick is to sit for 20 minutes, stand for eight, then move around and stretch for two minutes.
Well, there you have it. We have implemented the recommended schedule to promote a little more healthy workday for the employees.
